Onyxes are sedimentary rocks that have the unusual characteristic of being translucent with variegated veins of different thicknesses. Thanks to this variety, this type of material takes on a multicoloured appearance. Onyxes are often used for decorations given their multicoloured transparent appearance, exceptionally fascinating when exposed to neon or LED light. The composition of onyxes differs considerably which generates completely different products in a multitude of colours.
This is why they are found in flooring and claddings, but also in cameos and jewels: a material with a thousand uses!
